Data questions may ask for quartiles, outliers and box plots, so be confident with interpolation and the 1.5 × IQR rule.

In Edexcel Paper 3, the normal approximation to the binomial requires the continuity correction and is a common A/A* topic.

Edexcel often uses 5% or 1% significance, and you must write a conclusion in context, such as ‘there is sufficient evidence to reject H₀ at the 5% level’.
