Many IGCSE candidates expect a practical component only in science subjects, but in CAIE IGCSE French the practical element is not a laboratory experiment. For this syllabus, practical assessment means the ability to apply French in real-time communication: listening to authentic audio, responding orally, sustaining a conversation, and using language spontaneously in unrehearsed situations.
