1. Syllabus Overview and Assessment | 考纲与评估概览

The CAIE IGCSE German syllabus (0525) assesses four language skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Each paper is worth 25% of the final grade.

Paper 1 Listening tests your ability to understand announcements, short conversations and interviews. Typical tasks include multiple-choice, true/false and form-filling.

Paper 2 Reading focuses on signs, notices, emails and longer factual or narrative texts. You must identify main points, details and attitudes.

2. The Case System: Nominative, Accusative, Dative, Genitive | 格系统:主格、宾格、与格、属格

German has four cases. The nominative is used for the subject, the accusative for the direct object, the dative for the indirect object, and the genitive for possession.

The definite article changes by case, gender and number. It is essential to memorise these forms before the exam.
