📚 IGCSE WJEC Chinese: Essay Writing Framework and Model Essays | IGCSE WJEC 中文:论文写作框架与范文

The IGCSE WJEC Chinese writing paper often includes an essay question that tests your ability to express opinions, structure ideas and use appropriate vocabulary. This guide provides a step-by-step framework, practical examples and two model essays to help you produce a clear, well-organised response under exam conditions.

IGCSE WJEC 中文写作试卷通常包含一道论文题,考查你表达观点、组织结构和运用恰当词汇的能力。本指南提供逐步写作框架、实用范例和两篇范文,帮助你在考试条件下写出条理清晰、结构完整的文章。

1. Understanding the WJEC Chinese Essay Question | 理解 WJEC 中文论文题目

Before writing, read the question carefully and underline the key instruction words such as ‘discuss’, ‘do you agree’, ‘compare’ or ‘suggest’. Identify the topic, the task and the required tone. A common mistake is writing everything you know about the topic instead of directly answering the question.

动笔前,仔细阅读题目,并在 ‘讨论’、’你是否同意’、’比较’ 或 ‘建议’ 等关键指令词下划线。明确主题、任务和所需语气。常见错误是把关于该主题的所有内容都写出来,而没有直接回答问题。

For example, the question ‘Should students have part-time jobs? Discuss.’ asks you to consider both sides and give a reasoned conclusion, not just list advantages.

例如,题目 ‘学生应该做兼职吗?请讨论。’ 要求你考虑正反两面并给出有理有据的结论,而不是只列出优点。

In the WJEC mark scheme, directly addressing the question is one of the first things examiners check. If your essay is well written but only loosely related to the task, the content mark will be limited.

在 WJEC 评分标准中,是否直接回答问题往往是考官首先核查的内容之一。如果文章写得很好但与题目关联不紧密,内容分也会受到限制。

2. Planning Your Essay: The 5-Minute Framework | 规划论文:五分钟框架

Spend about five minutes planning before you write. Draw a simple three-part structure: introduction, two or three body paragraphs, and conclusion. Under each body paragraph, write one main point and two supporting details or examples.

动笔前花大约五分钟进行规划。画一个简单的三部分结构:开头、两到三个主体段落和结尾。在每个主体段落下写一个主要观点和两个支撑细节或例子。

This prevents you from going off-topic and saves time because you will not have to stop and think about what to write next.

这样可以防止偏题,也能节省时间,因为你不必中途停下来思考接下来写什么。

Section 部分 Content 内容 Time 时间
Introduction 开头 Hook + clear thesis 引入 + 明确论点 1 minute
Body paragraph 1 主体段1 Point 1 + evidence 观点1 + 论据 2 minutes
Body paragraph 2 主体段2 Point 2 + evidence 观点2 + 论据 2 minutes
Conclusion 结尾 Restate + final thought 重申 + 总结升华 1 minute

Do not write full sentences in your plan. Use short phrases, arrows and abbreviations. The plan is for you only, not for the examiner.

规划时不要写完整句子。使用短语、箭头和缩写。规划只供你自己参考,不是给考官看的。

3. Introduction: Hooking the Examiner | 开头:吸引考官

Your introduction should be two or three sentences. Start with a general statement or rhetorical question to interest the reader, then state your thesis clearly. Avoid phrases like ‘In this essay I will talk about…’ because they sound weak.

开头应有两到三句话。先用一句概括性陈述或反问句引起读者兴趣,然后明确陈述你的论点。避免使用 ‘在这篇文章中我将谈论……’ 这类表达,因为它们显得无力。

Example hook for the topic ‘Should homework be banned?’: ‘Every evening, millions of students sit down to hours of homework, but is this really the best way to learn?’

以 ‘应该禁止家庭作业吗?’ 为例,可用这样的开头:’每天晚上,数百万学生坐下来做几个小时的家庭作业,但这真的是最好的学习方式吗?’

Then end the introduction with a clear thesis, such as ‘While homework has some benefits, it should be reduced rather than banned completely.’

然后用明确的论点结尾,例如 ‘虽然家庭作业有一些好处,但应该减少而不是完全禁止。’

A clear thesis tells the examiner exactly what your position is. Without it, your essay may seem descriptive rather than argumentative.

明确的论点能告诉考官你的立场是什么。没有论点,文章可能显得更像描述而非议论。

4. Body Paragraphs: PEEL Structure | 主体段落:PEEL 结构

Use PEEL to build each body paragraph: Point, Evidence, Explanation, Link. Start with a topic sentence that states the point, then give evidence or an example, explain how it supports your argument, and link back to the question or to the next paragraph.

用 PEEL 结构构建每个主体段落:观点、论据、解释、衔接。先用主题句陈述观点,然后给出论据或例子,解释它如何支持你的论点,最后回扣题目或衔接下一段。

PEEL keeps your writing focused and prevents paragraphs from becoming a list of unrelated ideas.

PEEL 能让你的写作保持重点,防止段落变成一堆不相关想法的罗列。

Example PEEL paragraph on reducing homework:

关于减少家庭作业的 PEEL 示例段落:

Point: Too much homework reduces sleep and increases stress. Evidence: A school survey found that 70% of students felt anxious about homework. Explanation: This shows that homework overload harms mental health, which can lower academic performance. Link: Therefore, reducing homework would improve both wellbeing and results.

观点:过多的家庭作业会减少睡眠并增加压力。论据:一项学校调查发现,70% 的学生对家庭作业感到焦虑。解释:这表明家庭作业过载损害心理健康,从而降低学业表现。衔接:因此,减少家庭作业将改善身心健康和成绩。

Each body paragraph should contain only one main idea. If you have three different arguments, use three separate paragraphs.

每个主体段落只应包含一个主要观点。如果你有三个不同的论点,就分三个独立的段落来写。

5. Using Evidence and Examples | 使用论据与例子

Every claim you make should be supported by evidence. In a Chinese essay, evidence can be a personal experience, a common observation, a statistic, or a cultural reference. Avoid vague statements like ‘Many people think’ without naming who or why.

你提出的每个观点都应有论据支撑。在中文论文中,论据可以是个人经历、普遍观察、统计数据或文化典故。避免使用 ‘很多人认为’ 这类模糊表述而不说明是谁或为什么。

For example, instead of ‘Technology is bad for young people’, write ‘Spending more than three hours a day on social media is linked to poorer sleep and lower concentration in teenagers.’

例如,不要写 ‘科技对年轻人有害’,而应写 ‘每天在社交媒体上花费超过三小时与青少年睡眠变差和注意力下降有关。’

Use the phrases ‘for example’, ‘such as’, or ‘according to’ to introduce evidence naturally. In Chinese, the equivalents are ‘例如’, ‘比如’, and ‘根据’.

使用 ‘例如’、’比如’ 或 ‘根据’ 来自然地引入论据。

Strong evidence makes your writing more persuasive and shows the examiner that you can think critically rather than just repeat general opinions.

有力的论据能让你的文章更有说服力,并向考官表明你能批判性思考,而不仅仅是重复一般性的观点。
