1. What is Economics? | 什么是经济学?

Economics is the study of how people make choices when there are not enough resources to satisfy all their desires. It looks at the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. Essentially, economics helps us understand decision-making in a world of limited means.

4. Needs and Wants | 需要与想要

Because resources are limited, individuals and societies must often prioritise needs over wants. However, as societies become wealthier, people are able to satisfy more wants after meeting basic needs.

5. Goods and Services | 商品与服务

Economic products can be divided into goods and services. Goods are tangible items that you can see and touch, such as a pencil, a bicycle, or a loaf of bread. Services are intangible activities that provide value, like a haircut, a lesson, or a bus journey.
