从 GCSE 升入 CCEA Year 12 德语学习是一个令人兴奋的跨越,但也伴随着一系列常见的错误。很多同学会反复犯同样的语法、句子结构和发音错误,从而在写作、口语和阅读中丢分。本文列出 AS 阶段德语中最常见的误区,并给出清晰的纠正、解释和记忆方法。现在就解决这些问题,你就能大幅提升德语的准确性,以更扎实的信心迎接 CCEA 考试。

1. Accusative vs. Dative Confusion | 宾格与与格混淆

One of the most persistent errors is mixing up the accusative and dative cases. Students often write Ich sehe dem Mann instead of Ich sehe den Mann. The accusative marks the direct object (the thing or person directly receiving the action), while the dative marks the indirect object (the recipient or beneficiary). A practical test is to ask ‘whom’ or ‘what’ for the accusative and ‘to whom’ or ‘for whom’ for the dative. In the sentence Ich gebe der Frau das Buch, the book is the direct object (accusative) and the woman is the indirect object (dative).

最常见的一个错误是混淆第四格(宾格)和第三格(与格)。学生常写出 Ich sehe dem Mann,而正确形式是 Ich sehe den Mann。宾格表示直接宾语,即动作的直接承受者;与格表示间接宾语,即动作的接受者。一个实用的判别方法是:宾格回答“谁”或“什么”,与格回答“给谁”或“为谁”。在句子 Ich gebe der Frau das Buch 中,书是直接宾语(宾格),那位女士是间接宾语(与格)。

Also remember that certain prepositions always demand the dative (mit, nach, aus, zu, von, bei, seit, außer, gegenüber), while others always take the accusative (für, um, durch, gegen, ohne, bis, entlang). A robust revision table can help you internalise these patterns.

还要记住,一些介词永远支配与格(如 mit, nach, aus, zu, von, bei, seit, außer, gegenüber),而另一些永远支配宾格(如 für, um, durch, gegen, ohne, bis, entlang)。好好整理一张复习表格,有助于把这些搭配牢牢印在脑子里。

2. Adjective Endings | 形容词词尾变化

Incorrect adjective endings are a hallmark of English-speaker German. After definite articles (der, die, das), the adjective usually takes -e or -en depending on case, gender and number, but students often either omit the ending or choose the wrong one. For example, der gut Freund must be der gute Freund. The table below summarises the pattern after the definite article.

形容词词尾错误是英语母语者学习德语的典型标志。在定冠词(der, die, das)之后,形容词词尾通常为 -e 或 -en,具体取决于格、性和数,但学生经常漏加词尾或选错形式。例如 der gut Freund 必须写成 der gute Freund。下表总结了定冠词后的形容词词尾变化规律。

Case Masculine Feminine Neuter Plural
Nominative der gute Mann die gute Frau das gute Kind die guten Leute
Accusative den guten Mann die gute Frau das gute Kind die guten Leute
Dative dem guten Mann der guten Frau dem guten Kind den guten Leuten
Genitive des guten Mannes der guten Frau des guten Kindes der guten Leute

When there is no article or an indefinite article, the adjective must carry strong endings that mirror the definite article endings. Drilling these patterns aloud, for instance ‘der gute Mann, den guten Mann, dem guten Mann’, builds muscle memory and reduces errors in timed writing.

如果没有冠词或使用不定冠词,形容词就需要带上强变化词尾,以体现定冠词本该承担的性数格信息。反复大声操练这些模式,比如 ‘der gute Mann, den guten Mann, dem guten Mann’,能培养肌肉记忆,减少计时写作中的失误。

3. Verb Second Position Rule | 动词第二位置规则

English word order easily bleeds into German. The main verb must be the second idea in a main clause, which does not necessarily mean the second word. An error like Gestern ich habe Fußball gespielt is typical. The correct structure is Gestern habe ich Fußball gespielt. Whatever comes first – a time phrase, an object or an adverb – is position one; the conjugated verb must follow immediately in position two, with the subject just after it. Treat the first position as one ‘idea’, which could be a multi-word phrase.

英语的语序很容易混入德语。在主句中,变位动词必须是句子的第二个“成分”,而不一定是第二个单词。像 Gestern ich habe Fußball gespielt 这样的错误就很典型。正确结构是 Gestern habe ich Fußball gespielt。无论句子开头是什么——时间短语、宾语或是副词——整个第一成分占据位置一,变位动词紧跟其后在位置二,主语紧接其后。将位置一视为一个“意群”,有可能是多个词组成的一段表达。

This rule applies whenever two main clauses are linked by coordinators like und, aber, denn, but it disappears in subordinate clauses. For CCEA writing tasks, always check that your finite verb is not pushed to fourth or fifth place by accident. Markers penalise this basic error severely.

当两个主句由 und, aber, denn 等并列连词连接时,该规则同样适用,但到了从句中就不再成立了。在 CCEA 的写作任务中,每次都要检查变位动词是否意外被挤到了第四或第五位。评卷人对这种基础错误扣分毫不留情。

4. Separable Verbs | 可分前缀动词

Words like aufstehen, anrufen and fernsehen cause confusion because the prefix detaches and moves to the end of the clause. A common mistake is Ich aufstehe um 7 Uhr instead of Ich stehe um 7 Uhr auf. In main clauses, only the stem is conjugated in second position; the prefix waits at the end. In subordinate clauses, the verb and prefix reunite and occupy the final slot, as in weil ich um 7 Uhr aufstehe.

aufstehen, anrufenfernsehen 这类动词很容易让人犯晕,因为前缀会分离并跑到句末。一个常见错误是 Ich aufstehe um 7 Uhr,正确应为 Ich stehe um 7 Uhr auf。在主句中,只有词干在位置二变位,前缀待在句末。在从句中,动词和前缀重新合体,占据句末位置,比如 weil ich um 7 Uhr aufstehe

When you learn a new separable verb, always note its two-part nature and practise frames like: Ich [stem] … [prefix]. Creating a list of the most frequent separable prefixes – ab, an, auf, aus, ein, mit, nach, vor, zu – and attaching them to common verbs will improve your reflexive production in spoken exams.

学习一个新的可分动词时,一定要留意它的一分为二特性,并反复操练类似“Ich [词干] … [前缀]”的框架。把最常见可分前缀——ab, an, auf, aus, ein, mit, nach, vor, zu——列出来,和常用动词组合练习,可以提升口语考试中的自发产出能力。

5. Haben or Sein in the Perfect Tense | 完成时中 haben 与 sein 的选择

Many students default to haben for every perfect tense, producing errors like Ich habe nach London gefahren. The verb sein is used with verbs that indicate movement from one place to another or a change of state, such as gehen, fahren, fliegen, aufstehen, werden, sterben. The correct form is Ich bin nach London gefahren. Haben is used for transitive verbs and those without movement or state change, and for reflexive verbs.

很多学生默认所有完成时都用 haben,从而产生 Ich habe nach London gefahren 这类错误。动词 sein 则需与表示位置移动或状态变化的动词连用,比如 gehen, fahren, fliegen, aufstehen, werden, sterben。正确的说法是 Ich bin nach London gefahren。Haben 用于及物动词、不涉及移动或状态变化的动词,以及反身动词。

A short mnemonic can help: ‘move, change, be’ → use sein. However, pay attention to exceptions like bleiben and passieren, which also take sein despite not being obvious movement or change verbs. In CCEA writing, double-check your perfect tense auxiliary whenever you use a past participle.

一个简单的记忆法是:“移动、变化、存在”这些情况要用 sein。不过要注意例外,比如 bleibenpassieren 也用 sein,尽管它们并不明显表示移动或变化。在 CCEA 写作中,每用到一个第二分词时,记得重新确认助动词是否正确。

6. Prepositions with Fixed Cases | 介词与固定格的搭配

Mistaking the case following a preposition is a primary source of essay errors.

而“两可介词”(an, auf, hinter, in, neben, über, unter, vor, zwischen)又增加了一层难度:表示朝向移动(wohin?)用宾格,表示静止位置(wo?)用与格。

In revision, create two columns – dative and accusative triggers – and practise combining them with articles to feel the case change naturally. For two-way prepositions, visualise a box: if you are moving into the box, use accusative; if you are already inside, use dative. This visual cue works for many learners.

复习时,可以做一张两列表格——与格触发词和宾格触发词——然后反复搭配冠词练习,让格的变化变得自然。对于两可介词,不妨想象一个盒子:如果你正进入盒子,用宾格;如果你已经在盒子里,用与格。这个视觉提示对很多学习者都管用。

7. Modal Verbs and Sentence Structure | 情态动词与句子结构

When a modal verb (können, müssen, dürfen, sollen, wollen, mögen) is used, the second verb appears as an infinitive at the end of the clause. A mistake such as Ich kann schwimmen gut ignores the rule. The correct order is Ich kann gut schwimmen. Moreover, the modal verb occupies the conjugated second position, while all other information, including adverbials and objects, sits between the modal and the infinitive.

使用情态动词(können, müssen, dürfen, sollen, wollen, mögen)时,第二个动词以不定式形式出现在句末。像 Ich kann schwimmen gut 这样的错误就忽略了这条规则。正确的顺序是 Ich kann gut schwimmen。此外,情态动词占据变位的位置二,而所有其他信息,包括状语和宾语,都放在情态动词和不定式之间。

In more complex sentences with multiple infinitives, as in the future or perfect with a modal, the auxiliary modal idea goes to the end in a double infinitive construction. This is a finer point that appears in CCEA reading and listening, but mastering it early avoids confusion later. For now, nail the basic ‘modal + infinitive’ frame.

在更复杂的含有多个不定式的句子中,比如将来时或完成时与情态动词搭配,助动词情态部分会以双重不定式结构出现在句末。这是 CCEA 阅读和听力中会出现的精细点,早点掌握可以避免日后的混乱。目前,先练好“情态动词 + 不定式句末”的基本框架。

8. Noun Gender and Plural Forms | 名词性与复数形式

Memorising the gender of nouns is a constant struggle. Writing der Katze instead of die Katze is common. While there are some patterns – words ending in -ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft are feminine; those ending in -chen and -lein are neuter; many ending in -er or -el are masculine – plenty of exceptions exist. The most reliable method is to learn every noun with its definite article and plural form as a set, e.g. der Tisch, die Tische; die Hand, die Hände; das Buch, die Bücher.

Plural formation in German is also tricky: umlaut + -e, umlaut + -er, -en, -s, etc. CCEA’s essay tasks will reward accurate plurals, so spend time colour-coding vocabulary cards according to gender. This multi-sensory approach makes revision more effective and cuts down on careless case errors.

德语复数的构成也不简单:变元音 + -e,变元音 + -er,-en,-s 等等。CCEA 的写作任务会奖励正确使用复数,所以值得花时间按名词属性给词汇卡片标色。这种多感官复习方式能让记忆更高效,并减少因疏忽造成的格错误。

9. Pronunciation Pitfalls: Umlaute and ‘ch’ | 发音误区:变元音和“ch”

Pronunciation can trigger misunderstandings, especially in the CCEA speaking exam. The umlaut vowels ä, ö, ü are often flattened: schon (already) versus schön (beautiful) have completely different meanings. To produce ö, shape your lips as if to say ‘oh’ but try to say ‘ee’. For ü, say ‘ee’ while rounding your lips. Practise minimal pairs – drucken/drücken, fuhren/führen – with a recording tool.

发音可能造成误解,尤其是在 CCEA 口语考试中。变元音 ä, ö, ü 的发音经常被扁平化:schon(已经)和 schön(美丽的)意思完全不同。发 ö 时,嘴唇呈发“oh”的圆形,同时尝试发出“ee”的音。发 ü 时,先发“ee”,然后把嘴唇撮圆。可以用录音工具练习最小对立组,比如 drucken/drücken, fuhren/führen

The ‘ch’ sounds also cause difficulty. After a, o, u and au, it is a guttural sound like ‘loch’; after i, e, ä, ö, ü, ei, eu and consonants, it is the softer palatal sound, similar to the ‘h’ in ‘huge’. Misreading ‘ich’ as ‘ick’ or ‘ish’ is a typical learner habit that can make speech sound less authentic. Slow down and focus on the soft friction at the palate.

“ch”的发音同样令人头疼。在 a, o, u, au 之后,它是类似英语 loch 中的喉音;在 i, e, ä, ö, ü, ei, eu 和辅音之后,则是较软的硬腭擦音,类似于 “huge” 中的 “h”。把 “ich” 读成 “ick” 或 “ish” 是典型的学生腔,会让口语听起来不够地道。慢下来,专注于上颚处的轻柔摩擦。

10. Word Order in Subordinate Clauses | 从句中的动词后置

A classic error is weil ich habe keine Zeit, where the verb shrugs off its end-position duty. Subordinating conjunctions like weil, dass, wenn, obwohl, bevor, nachdem push the conjugated verb to the very end of the clause. The correct form is weil ich keine Zeit habe. When there is a modal or auxiliary, it goes last, right after any infinitive or past participle: weil ich nicht kommen konnte.

一个经典错误是 weil ich habe keine Zeit,动词没有乖乖站到句末去。像 weil, dass, wenn, obwohl, bevor, nachdem 这样的从属连词会把变位动词推到从句的最末尾。正确的形式是 weil ich keine Zeit habe。如果句中有情态动词或助动词,它也要置于最后,紧随任何不定式或过去分词:weil ich nicht kommen konnte

In speaking, it is easy to fall into English SVO order, but CCEA examiners expect correct subordinate clause order even in improvised responses. When practising, consciously pause after the subordinating conjunction and think about the end bracket before speaking. This habit will eventually become automatic.

在口语中,很容易滑回英语的主谓宾顺序,但 CCEA 考官即使在你临时组织的回答中也期望正确的从句语序。练习时可以刻意在从属连词之后停顿一下,想好句末的封闭成分再开口。这个习惯慢慢就会自动化。

11. Misunderstanding ‘Sie’ and ‘du’ | “Sie”与“du”的误用

Using the formal Sie and the informal du incorrectly can come across as rude or awkward. In Year 12 CCEA German, role-play and conversation tasks require you to judge the context: address a friend or classmate with du, but use Sie for teachers, strangers and formal situations. A common slip is mixing pronouns within one response, e.g. Kannst du mir helfen? Ich brauche Ihre Hilfe. The formal Sie must be capitalised and takes the same verb forms as the third-person plural sie.

错误使用尊称 Sie 和昵称 du 会让人觉得失礼或别扭。在 CCEA Year 12 德语的角色扮演和对话任务中,你需要判断语境:对朋友或同学用 du,面对老师、陌生人及正式场合则要用 Sie。常见的纰漏是在同一次回答中把两者混用,比如 Kannst du mir helfen? Ich brauche Ihre Hilfe。大写开头的尊称 Sie 必须首字母大写,动词变位与第三人称复数 sie 相同。

To avoid this error, note that exam rubrics will often specify the relationship. Underline whether you are speaking to a ‘Freund’ or a ‘Lehrer’ before you begin. Also, be aware that the imperative for du drops the stem ending (Komm! Gib!), while Sie uses the infinitive form plus Sie (Kommen Sie! Geben Sie!). Treating this as a grammar point, not just politeness, makes it easier to remember.

为避免这类错误,注意考试指令通常会说明说话对象是谁。开始回答之前,在“Freund”或“Lehrer”等词下面划上线。此外还要知道,对 du 的命令式要去掉词干结尾(Komm! Gib!),而对 Sie 的命令式则是动词不定式加上 Sie(Kommen Sie! Geben Sie!)。把它当作一个语法点而非仅仅是礼貌问题,会更容易记住。

12. False Friends and Vocabulary Traps | 假朋友与词汇陷阱

German and English share cognates that can be deceptively misleading. A Year 12 student might use Gift thinking it means ‘present’, when it actually means ‘poison’. Bekommen does not mean ‘to become’ but ‘to receive’. Eventuell means ‘possibly’, not ‘eventually’. Chef means ‘boss’, not ‘chef’. Aktuell means ‘current’, not ‘actual’. Such false friends can fatally distort comprehension and written expression.

德语和英语有不少同源词,却带有强烈的误导性。Year 12 的学生可能会用 Gift 来表达“礼物”,实际上这个词是“毒药”的意思。Bekommen 不是“成为”而是“得到”。Eventuell 是“可能”,并非“最终”。Chef 指“老板”,不是“厨师”。Aktuell 是“当前的”,而不是“实际的”。这些假朋友会严重扭曲理解与书面表达。

Build a personal false-friend list as you encounter them in CCEA past papers and reading texts. Test yourself by providing the correct English meaning and an original German sentence. This proactive technique prevents fossilised mistakes and sharpens your awareness when listening, where you don’t have time to reason.

建立一份属于自己的假朋友清单,在刷 CCEA 真题和阅读文章时随时补充。用给出正确英语释义和自创德语例句的方式来自我检测。这种主动法能防止错误固化,也能磨锐你在听力中的敏感度,因为你没时间当场琢磨。
